Got Questions

FAQ

Everything you need to know before you book.

How does the deposit work?

A deposit is required to hold your appointment date. It's non-refundable, but it's not lost — it comes directly off your final total. Whatever Andy quotes you, the deposit is credited in full so you pay the balance at the end of your session.

How does pricing work?

Every tattoo is custom-quoted based on the piece — size, placement, complexity, and whether it's black & grey or color. There are no set packages or tiers. Submit a request with your reference image and Andy will send you a number before you commit to anything. Minimum is $180.

Andy charges by the piece, not by the hour. Whether your session runs 20 minutes or 8 hours, the price you were quoted is the price you pay. No surprise charges, no hourly overages.

Do you charge for the design/consultation?

No. The consultation is free. If you're not sure what you want, we can talk through ideas and I'll sketch something up. You won't be charged until we book a session.

What about small tattoos or walk-ins?

I'm appointment-only, so I don't take walk-ins. That said, feel free to reach out and ask — if it's something I can't fit in, I'll point you to another artist at my shop who can take care of you. Nobody leaves without options.

What forms of payment do you accept?

All payments are processed online through the Andy Electric Tattoos client portal. We accept all major credit and debit cards, processed securely via Stripe. No cash, Cash App, or other payment methods are accepted — everything goes through the website.

Do you do cover-ups?

Yes. Cover-ups are a specialty — I've fixed a lot of work that other artists said couldn't be covered. Every cover-up is different, so reach out and we'll look at what's possible for your situation.

What's your cancellation policy?

All deposits are non-refundable, no exceptions. You may reschedule up to 2 times per booking with at least 48 hours notice — log in to your client portal to do so. Cancellations, no-shows, late arrivals, and requests made inside 48 hours all result in immediate deposit forfeiture. After 2 reschedules, the deposit is forfeited and a new deposit is required to rebook.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

Yes. You can split your deposit or full session cost into payments using Klarna or Affirm. Both appear automatically at checkout — no separate application needed. Select your plan at checkout and you're done.

Can I use numbing cream before my appointment?

Yes — and here's exactly how to do it right. During your session, Andy will use numbing spray to keep you comfortable as the work progresses. But if you want to arrive already numb, you'll need to handle that yourself beforehand.

About 2 hours before your appointment: take a hot shower, shave the area being tattooed, and pat the skin fully dry. Apply a generous layer of numbing cream directly to the area, then cover it tightly with plastic wrap to lock in the heat and activate it. Leave it on until you arrive. That's it — simple prep that makes a real difference, especially for longer sessions or sensitive placements.

You can grab numbing cream from the store if you need a recommendation.
